Construction of the Core Collection
We performed a systematic evaluation of 1,456 peach germplasm resources, utilizing both phylogenetic tree construction and population structure analysis to characterize their genetic relationships. Based on these insights, we established a Core Germplasm Collection of 200 accessions. This selection maximizes genetic representation, covering diverse Primitive Landraces, Eastern and Western Cultivars, and Wild types, serving as a robust reference panel for the scientific community.
